In 2005, fed up with the standard 'coffee and croissant', Tom decided to set out on his own to offer a breakfast that was healthy, filling, natural and delicious to London commuters...mOma was born.
After extensive research, recipe testing, and customer trials out on the streets of Waterloo first thing in the morning, Tom settled on a version of the traditional ‘bircher muesli’ as the mOma Jumble, accompanied by the Oatie and the Hodgepodge.
Slow-release energy fuelled food, that tastes great, fills you up, and keeps you going till lunch time.
The first stall opened in Waterloo in February 2006 and was fashioned from a converted wide-drawer filing cabinet, with wheels welded to the bottom and branding applied to the outside.
mOma has moved on a bit since then and now has eight custom built stalls in Central London railway stations serving hundreds of people during the busy rush hour.
Aside from the stalls, mOma now supplies many other outlets, offices and businesses with our range of healthy breakfasts, including: Virgin Atlantic, Selfridges, selected Waitrose stores, the John Lewis Foodhall on Oxford Street, and the BBC.
