Eat Out To Help Out – Best Places To Eat In Deptford

At MOMA we’re very fond of our home under the arches in Deptford. MOMA HQ has been there since 2012!
We love the bustle of the high street and feel so lucky to have so many independent cafés, restaurants and bars close by, so here’s a list of some of our favourite spots taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme this month so you can show your support for small businesses.

The Greenhouse

Nestled between Deptford and New Cross, The Greenhouse serves up brunch, lunch, coffee and
cake made using traceable and ethical produce. With a wealth of options for vegans, vegetarians
and carnivores alike it’s definitely worth a try for your next lunch or brunch outing – the serious
sandwiches are not to be missed and the green velvet cake is legendary. The team are taking a
well-deserved break from their busy time making DIY brunch kits, but are back open from
Monday the 10th of August when they will start the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, giving you 50%
off the bill ’til the end of the month!

Dirty Apron

Arch number nine at Deptford Market Yard is home to Dirty Apron, a café/restaurant run by best friends
Suzie and Holly who create seasonal menus using local produce. Whether it’s brunch in
the sun you’re after or some coffee and cake on a rainy afternoon, Dirty Apron have got you
covered. In addition to running the Eat Out to Help out scheme, they are also hosting a three
course vegan dinner event on the 3rd and 10th of August for just £15 once the government
discount is applied – to book tickets for this event email, otherwise head
down for breakfast lunch or dinner Tuesday – Wednesday throughout August for some tasty

Lomond Coffee

The all female south London coffee roasters, Lomond Coffee are based in Arch number seven at
Deptford Market Yard. Their stylishly converted arch is the perfect home to their café, where they
serve their responsibly sourced speciality roasted coffees, homemade cakes and Instagrammable
brunches. Pop down for brunch or an afternoon coffee and cake while there’s 50% off the bill. If
you’re local but can’t make it down they deliver their speciality roasted beans and a selection of
baked goodies to your door!

The Waiting Room

Finding great vegetarian and vegan food in Deptford is easy these days, but when The Waiting
Room started out they were the true pioneers. Well renowned for their vegan hot dogs, burgers
and bagels, they also serve fantastic coffee and their home delivery donuts were a huge success
during lockdown. Their prices have always been great, so head down for a steal this August with
up to £10 off per person.
